Herman L Garrison

May 11, 1926 - February 20, 2010

GARRISON, Herman L., age 83 a resident of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2010 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born on May 11, 1926 to the late Forest and Cora (Routzahn) Garrison in Washington Township, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Herman is preceded in death by his step-son Donald Johnson. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Margaret (McCumber) Garrison, a daughter, Mary Rose Garrison of Middletown, a step-son, Otto Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, a step-daughter-in-law Michelle Johnson of Miamisburg, grandchildren: David Johnson, Emma Moravek, Christopher (Becka Belvo) Johnson, Blair Johnson, and Ashley Johnson, along with 3 great-grandchildren and several special friends. Herman was in the 1944 class of Miamisburg High School and a United States Army veteran serving as a Corporal during the Korean War. Herman operated Garrison Farms for 25 years raising dairy cattle and farming the land. He was also a lifelong member at Trinity United Church of Christ, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a self proclaimed repair and maintenance guru. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 12:00 noon from the GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE FUNERAL HOME, Miamisburg with Pastor Brad Martin officiating. Burial Hillgrove Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
