Biography

Betty Jane Boyer, age 89 of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born January 10, 1921 in Dayton, OH to the late Charles and Margaret (Clifton) Ennis. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Boyer Simpson in April of 2001 and two sisters, Lucille Fowler and Julia Salt. Betty is survived be her devoted husband of 70 years, Wilbur W. “Webb” Boyer of Miamisburg, her loving twin daughters, Judy (Eddie) Bray of St. Mary’s, OH and Sharon (Bill) Phillips of Germantown; a sister, Doris Kolb of Miamisburg; her grandchildren, Kevin (Amanda), Joel (Jill), Ryan (Tiffany), Angie (Jeff), Jodi, Erik (Barb); 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She loved to write poetry for friends and family and had even written songs for her daughters to sing. Funeral services will begin 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Trinity United Church of Christ, Miamisburg, officiated by Rev. Dr. Ed Bray. Family will receive friends during visitation from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, February 16 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Burial will take place at Germantown Cemetery.
