TAHMOUSH, Samuel Soubhi, age 53 of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday December 9, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Sam was born June 2, 1956 in Syria. He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Samuel and Julia (Kennan) Tahmoush; his biological father, Abdou Yachouh and a sister, Jamila Robinson. Sam leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 18 years, Kandi S. Tahmoush; his mother, Marine Yachouh of Hamilton, Ontario; his children, Sarah and Josh Tahmoush; siblings Leila Talani, David (Fimi) Yachouh, both of Hamilton, ON, Jacques (Rania) Yachouh of Niagara Falls, Lucy Yachouh, Theresa (Chris) Kydd, both of Hamilton, ON and Elias (Diana) Yachouh of St. Catharines, ON; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws including his mother-in-law, Lois Klein of Lombard, IL and his beloved dog, Zippy. Sam was a 1974 graduate of Boston Latin High School and a 1978 graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor degree in business. Sam was a United States Army Veteran. He continued his service as a Contract Specialist for the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs for 25 years before retiring. Raised Syrian Orthodox, Sam also attended Parkview United Methodist Church with his family. He was a tennis and golf enthusiast and also enjoyed supporting the Red Sox, Patriots and Nittany Lions. Funeral services will begin 10:00am Monday, December 14, 2009 at Parkview United Methodist Church, 3713 Benner Rd., Miamisburg, officiated by Pastor Brad Martin. Family will receive friends at visitation on Sunday, December 13 from 2:00-5:00pm at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery.
