Leland M. “Lee” Coe, 57 of Miamisburg, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at his residence. He was born May 18, 1952 in Punxsutawney, PA to the late Allen W. and Emma Jean (Henry) Coe. Lee leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 34 years, Sandra M. (Smith) Coe; his son, Nicholas A. Coe of Moraine; his daughter, Meaghan M. Coe of Fremont; brother, Charles W. (Carolyn) Coe of Anchorage, AK; nieces and nephews, Leslie Coe-Dalto, Kevin Coe, Jessica Grady, Joshua Grady, Caitlin Kirby and Matthew Kirby; his “grand-dogs”, Diesel, Champ, Starr and Cyd and many in-laws, cousins and friends. Lee received his B.A. in Music Education from Bowling Green University and later a Master’s from Youngstown State University. He owned and operated Leland M. Coe and Associates as a real-estate appraiser for over 30 years and held many certifications in his field, including MAI, CCIM, CRE & FRICS. Lee had many interests in history and collecting. He also enjoyed music as he performed regularly with his church choir and was also a talented flutist. Lee and his family would often volunteer for Special Olympics events. Funeral services will begin 11:00AM Monday, December 7, 2009 at Parkview United Methodist Church at 3713 Benner Rd., Miamisburg, officiated by Pastor Brad Martin. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends at visitation from 2:00-5:00PM Sunday, December 6 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miamisburg Schools Education Foundation at P.O. Box 464, Miamisburg, OH 45343, Special Olympics of Gulford/Greensboro at 3409 B W.
